Southern Ohio Horse SaleThe Southern Ohio Horse Sale is Ohio's premier horse sale. 2008 dates are March 15th and September 6th. It is a cataloged sale with Paint and Quarter Horses. Tack sells at 10 a.m. and horses sell at 1 p.m. Catalog deadline is August 16th.

Horses will be consigned as received. Early consignments will receive preferred sale positions. In the event that a consigned horse is unable to be sold at the sale (due to illness or unforseen difficulites) then a substitute horse of the consignor may be sold in its place. All other horses that are received after the catalog has closed and been printed will be sold at the end after the consigned horses in the catalog. It is to the consignors advantage to get horses congisned early. All sales transactions the day of the sale will be done through the office. This is for the benefit of the seller as well as the buyer. Consignors are paid the day of the sale. The management reserved the right to hold payment if a question arises. All horses must have a current coggings test (within 6 months). It is to the consignor's advantage to have a coggins test drawn before you arrive as buyers from Canada must have this test to export horses. Under Ohio Law. owner operator is not liable for injusry or death of a particpant in equine activity resulting from inherent risk pursuant to HB564. The sale management of the Southern Ohio Horse Sale will work dilegently to help the consignor market his/her horse and to receive the best possible price. Consignors may bring their horses on Friday envenging.
